Results of a small study published online in the journal Pain suggest that Vitamin D supplements may be an effective and inexpensive way of reducing chronic pain and fatigue in patients with fibromyalgia. The study authors also concluded that Vitamin D supplementation may be a cost effective adjunct to more expensive pharmacological treatment as well as physical, behavioral and multimodal therapies.
