New Study Highlights Risks of Acetaminophen and Alcohol

Research presented last week at the annual meeting of the American Public Health Association indicated that the use of acetaminophen in combination with even light to moderate drinking can increase the risk of kidney dysfunction by 123 percent.  Researchers noted that this is of particular concern among young adults who self-treat their pain with acetaminophen, due to their higher prevalence of alcohol consumption.  Read more about the study here.
