This NEW course will be presented on Tuesday, September 2. Attendees will enhance their ability to differentiate addicts from those patients who have pain but who may be undertreated; learn how to manage patients with substance use disorders in an office based setting; know when and where to refer; understand the pharmacologic and nonpharmacologic management of opioid and other SUD; and become more proficient in urine drug analyses. The importance of awareness of one’s own biases and beliefs, and of maintaining healthy patient/physician boundaries will also be considered.
