Breast Cancer Survivors Report Persistent Postmastectomy Pain as Most Troubling Problem

A study published in The Journal of Pain reported that persistent postmastectomy pain is rated by survivors as their most troubling symptom. Researchers found that psychosocial variables, including anxiety, depression, impaired sleep, somatization and catastrophizing were important predictors of the development of postmastectomy pain.  Read a news report here.
