Program Description
Join us in a presentation on opioid induced nausea and vomiting (OINV) in the management of acute pain. The speaker will review the use of immediate-release (IR) opioids in the management of moderate to severe pain and OINV as an important and yet largely underestimated complication of opioid therapy. The presentation will describe the current understanding of the mechanisms of OINV and data on epidemiology, clinical consequences, health economic impact, and treatment approaches to OINV in the current practice.
