Satellite Events
PAINWeek® provides opportunities for certified continuing medical education (CME) and noncertified promotional events that may be presented in a variety of formats such as lectures, special interest sessions, poster presentations, and panel discussions. Various media may be utilized (slides, video, posters, and Web). All events are available every day of the conference, from Wednesday through Saturday. Time slots are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis after association fees are received.

CME programs are of great value to frontline clinicians, and many practitioners are required to earn CME credits to maintain professional licensure. A satellite CME activity provides attendees with additional education beyond the PAINWeek core curriculum.

Special Interest Sessions present an opportunity for industry to support a concurrent, nonmeal CME or promotional presentation at almost any time during PAINWeek. Special Interest Sessions offer attendees variety outside of the general course offerings. For an additional fee, the course can be repeated on other meeting day(s) to extend the reach of the program. CME accreditation fees are not included in the fees listed below.

The PAINWeek Assembly sessions are 2-hour or 4-hour certified CME or noncertified promotional sessions in a given area of interest, such as a pain syndrome or treatment modality. For example, a “Neuropathic Pain Assembly” would focus on various topics involving neuropathic pain.

PAINWeek cordons off a special area in the Exhibit Hall that accommodates classroom-style seating for a maximum of 100 clinicians for a 1-hour or shorter noncertified promotional presentation. (Corporate supporters who require more time or expect a larger audience should book a promotional symposium.)

a Premium Audio Visual package includes: stage riser and stairs, pipe and drape, podium, 2 rear-screen projector screens, two 4500-lumen LCD projectors, laptop computer, speaker timer, wireless cuing remote, podium, 1 podium microphone, 1 lavaliere microphone, 1 handheld microphone, 1 speaker confidence monitor, A/V table, registration table, 2 chairs, wastebasket, and 4 poster easels.
Basic Audio Visual package includes: stage riser and stairs, pipe and drape, podium, 1 front-screen projector screen, one 2000-lumen LCD projector, registration table, 2 chairs, wastebasket, and 4 poster easels. (Audio components including microphones are not included and are the responsibility of the event organizer).
b Program fee (sometimes referred to as the administration or association fee) does not include event management, event management staff, food/beverage for your event, additional audiovisual needs not already provided (eg, Internet access), PAINWeek conference registration fees, travel fees, speaker fees, guest rooms, signage, lead retrieval, promotional materials, or any expenses related to hosting this activity.
