Planning Considerations
Below is information to further assist you in planning your event budget and grant requests. Please also visit the PAINWeek attendee profile page to assist you in planning your presentation topics, speaker selection, etc.
Promoting Your Event
You may choose any or all of the following to help promote your event. Please remember to include this in your planning budget. These figures do not include production of materials which is the responsibility of the event organizer. All material and copy must be approved by PAINWeek prior to distribution.

PAINWeek-sponsored tweets

Faculty Sharing
Satellite event organizers are welcome to utilize PAINWeek faculty when there are no scheduling conflicts. We can also assist you by matching a faculty’s area of expertise with your topic. We ask that you provide PAINWeek with a flat-rate stipend of $1,500 for each PAINWeek faculty member to cover half of the cost of travel, accommodations, and expenses. Please include this in your planning budget.

Certification of CME Events
Satellite event organizers are responsible for obtaining CE/CME certification for their CME events. Certification is not included under PAINWeek event credits; however, you may seek certification as a separate activity from our accredited sponsor or the sponsor or your choice. PAINWeek requires that event organizers obtain certification for Physicians and Physician Assistants (ACCME), Nurses (AANP), Pharmacists (ACPE), and Psychologists (APA).
Guidelines and Application
Full satellite events guidelines and application form will be available on the PAINWeek Web site in January 2010.
Application Deadline
Applications for satellite events should be received by Wednesday, June 30, 2010.
Early Bird Discount
Applications received before Monday, March 1, 2010, receive 10% off program fees.
